We went to Kansas over Memorial Day Weekend to see our friends. On the way there we got to experience some genuine Kansas weather. We had the radio on and the map out so we could see how far we were from the tornados. We were mostly safe and made it to our friend's house okay, but our 5 hour trip was turned into a 7 hour trip and included a blown-off windshield wiper (it's somewhere in a Kansas field now and, of course, it was the one on the driver's side) a detour to the basement of a friend-of-a-friend, (we were half an hour outside of our destination and there were two tornados between us and there, so the Drapers took pity on us. Thank you!) and a cracked windshield. But once we got there we had such a great time. After the storms on Friday, Saturday turned out BEAUTIFUL! We spent the whole day outside. It was so great to see everyone. We miss you all so much!!!
